Project Overview -Refurbishment of a Residential Care Home in the East Midlands.
Care Home Builders recently worked with an East Midlands residential care facility to deliver a methodical refurbishment of essential living and operational spaces. The construction project involved more than physical improvements since it focused on enhancing daily operations for residents and their caregiving staff. The implementation occurred within an active care facility, which required detailed organisational strategies. Our team worked with resident schedules to schedule our work while maintaining daily interactions with care staff through phased construction to avoid disrupting operations.
The home needed to maintain its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and safety throughout the project. Our team completed several key project elements, including designing feature lighting alongside herringbone flooring, bespoke joinery, and softer, welcoming finishes for the reception and entrance areas.
The interior spaces containing lounges and kitchenettes received upgrades, including new lighting installations, built-in cabinets, TV installation, and centralised media connection points for better functionality. We renovated the central courtyard by replacing old pergolas and installing new paving and living walls and planters outside.
The updated green areas now create a more pleasant environment for residents to spend their time. The project team enhanced assisted bathrooms, therapy rooms, corridors, staff areas, and destination points, including the new café, to improve accessibility and safety and promote wellbeing.
Completing the care home brought about both a transformed aesthetic and enhanced operational efficiency that benefited residents and staff members. The team dedicated every decision to establish a secure and independent-friendly environment through ceiling replacements, automatic door installations, and digital keypad implementation.
We achieved project success at a high level while receiving outstanding positive responses from the care team and families. Our commitment to building with care translates into creating improved spaces which benefit people beyond physical structures.
